Just saw this on the morning news "Deal or Dud" feature.
The product is designed to be carried as an emergency fuel supply in the event you run out. It is advertised an being safe to carry, will not expand with heat, has a 10 year shelf life and is considered NON FLAMMABLE!
They went to a dealership, pumped all the gas out of a car, made sure there was no fuel left in the system, as in running the tank dry. They poured in a gallon of Magic Tank, it started and ran, same as gasoline.
How is this possible? Well, I looked around on the website. Under FAQ, it explained the flash point is up around 105F, which technically allows it to be listed as nonflammable. They recommended that "for best results" it be used before the engine cools down, and to drive to the nearest station and refuel.
I doubt that I would buy it, $20 something a gallon, but sounds like an interesting product, especially if someone had a history of running out of gas.
