I'm sorry, but there's a HUGE difference in a celebrity roast and someone joking around about our rights. In the case of a roast, most comments are made with an eye toward the facts, be they good or bad....What makes them funny is an ability to laugh at one's own faults as that's what the jokes usually relate to.

Personally I take what rights we still have very seriously as I have seen how far they have eroded in just the 47 years I've been on this Earth, and I know others here have been witness to even more.

As another post says, and maybe I missed something by cutting out early, but he fails to mention that with the confiscation of guns in Australia, the crime rate boomed...but with more guns in the hands of Americans now than ever before, our crime rate has steadily gone down. But hey, he's trying to be funny, and to heck with the facts.

The worst part of the whole deal is that even with laws and definitions on the books, the Federal Alphabet groups ((think ATF for an example given the conversation here))have decided that they can do whatever they want with no real consequences for their actions. One good example is the current decision to ban one particular type of ammunition currently available for any rifle, or handgun, chambered in .225 or 5.56. Basically they have decided it's armor piercing, even though makeup of the bullet isn't even close to what the regulations state it needs to be. But hey, they are the ATF, they can do what they want with the current administration in office. Even further, they have decided to change the definition of "DESIGNED" to include the functional way an object is used....but hey, the ARE the ATF

So, lets all just be good sheeple and allow our government to run all over us. They obviously know better than all of us what we need and what we don't need. As long as we see what they are doing as a joke, and laugh about it instead of being 'up in arms', uptight, or whatever you want to call it, the erosion of our rights will continue until the only thing left to laugh about will be just how fast they went.............
