Nobody in either the US or Canada has ever attracted BSE by eating beef
The cow in question was caught on time,..no harm done.
In Canada these cases once found get reported but in the US it has been SSS from day one and don't tell me they were never found your side of the border cause they just got/get reported as having rabies.
As far as BSE goes i think it is occurring naturally( CWD has been found to be native in elk in some wild US herds) but there was never tested for it prior to the BSE outbreak in the UK and the first case in Alberta and only God knows how many cows have died with similar symptoms in our countries prior to that
Scrapie(similar to BSE) in sheep has been known for hundreds of years
Feeding rendering material to plant eaters was a stupid thing to start with as these animals are not equipped to digest meat products.
You have a million times more change being shot to dead than contracting BSE from eating beef.
