the armature needs to be polished round and round to assure the polishing grooves are in the direction of the motion. The brushes might be of poor quality and chalking away (could be from the land of Not Quite Rite) the brush springs could be weak and allowing the brushes to vibrate and chatter on the bars. There are tension specs on them, sometimes the springs heat from a bad connection, and loose temper. Jim
