Thing is ask a group of random people a question about something they know little to nothing about and they will try to BS their way out of it. Most people never stop to think that their own body contains DNA and only think of DNA when watching CSI. I'd make a guess that out of 100 people 1 would honestly say I don't know when ask that type of question. Have you seen the interviews they have done when they ask people on the street what they think about a politicians view points and lie about what that viewpoint is. Something along the line of "how do you feel about Romney being a Muslim" type of question. 1 in 10 knows that wrong and of the first 100 that don't know you might get one who says "you sure he's a Muslim?".
