Take 13 minutes and watch this vid. We all need to be reminded that our lives can be changed in a split second. My grandfather could have been the poster child for farm safety. He lost the end of his index finger on his right hand in what I think was a corn cutter, maybe a binder. Stepped over a PTO with a long bolt while grinding corn. Ripped all of his clothing off even the laces out of his boots. He lost an eye driving a nail. Part of the nail broke off and hit him. Be careful out there.

After two summers of having to park my old 1964 model 4000 gas 4 cyl. on a hill just in case the 6 volt system, for whatever reason, would not crank her, I decided to try the 12 volt conversion. After some research of convert or not, I decided to go ahead, the main reason being that this tractor was a working tractor, not a show tractor (yet).
