The state sends you a notice your medical card will expire xx/xx/xxxx If you do not re-certify before that date they give you two grace periods of xx days and xxx days. If you do not re-certify by the first xx date they mark your license as medically not certified. If you do not re-certify by the second xxx date they remove your CDL privilege or marked canceled. If tour CDL gets canceled you are suppose to start the process all over again (take all test again) to reinstate your CDL.
