My experience comes from 19 yrs on a concrete floor and 18 more years in & out of a delivery truck onto concrete. Had back trouble & turned ankles in both. Could never find anything in a local store. Wolverine was the worst on my back. After all, I finally found the "Responder" 6" shoes in the Mason Shoe catalog finally got me thru. Made for cops, delivery people, etc. who are on their feet all day long. Doc said "wide semisoft heel, soft insert AND sole and 6" to help prevent turned ankles. Still wear them in retirement.
