Mouse nest seems to be the main topic, not the fact that the motor went south because the cooling fins were totally choked with dirt.
The mouse nest had to been built long after engine was removed from mower. Proof, some of the grass is in the cooling fan on the flywheel. It wouldn't be there is the engine was ever turned over.
I posted this to warn people to check the cooling fins on any cub cadet mower. Notice the hours on oil filter are very small, 241.
I'm always amazed how this post went sideways over a mouse nest.
