I see a very dangerous feature in many tractors. I have an 86 IHC and if the engine stops you have no brakes or steering. I used it to haul 9 big round bales on the road. I would go into a big hill in High third and pull the TA back at 1500 at the top of the hill I would be back around 1500, I was always afraid the next shift would have to be to 2nd Hi and would have been afraid of missing a gear or killing the engine. I now use a smaller tractor that could have gears and brakes without the engine running.
