During my travels I have found a J.I. Case Agri King 870 Demonstrator Serial Number 8659863 and am inquiring if this tractor is a real Demonstrator tractor or a Clone that someone made by painting this tractor black with dessert tan fenders and put Demonstrator decals on it.
I am interested in buying this tractor to add to my J.I. Case Agri King collection if it is a real Demonstrator. Will someone let me know if Serial Number 8659863 is truly a Demonstrator.
If the serial number is not useful to determine if this tractor is a real Demonstrator what other things will indicate if it is a real Demonstrator.
This fender tractor is in fair condition: Complete tractor needs repainted and new decals installed Front fiberglass nose piece is damaged (like most fiberglass nose pieces usually are) Fenders are slightly damaged Rear Tires 18.4 34 that are about 50% Tread Life Front Tires need replaced No cab installed 5,000 Engine Hours (if the hour meter is correct) History not known (but does not appear to have been stored inside most of its life)
If this tractor is a real Demonstrator what is it worth in fair condition.
If this tractor is not a real Demonstrator what is it worth in fair condition.
