Don't want to hijack the lower post. My friend gave me what is supposed to be a 12 volt generator the other day. It was given to him and is supposed to work. Has no plate on it. It is stamped IH REBUILD. Also stamped on end FAA10139A. Has what appears to be an F like Ford script on the end. How can I test it for output and what voltage it is? I can, of course, take it to a shop and have it checked, but would like to try at home. Thanks, Richard
