I would reply to this post, but I am so mad about the weather, I won't.
I can't stand the winter because it means I am not productive. I am working on putting heat into my big building so that when the weather is awful, I can still work. For now, I can't.
The biggest problem right now is that the weather seems to correspond to the number of funerals. Being involved with the cemetery, I hate this time of year because of the number of burials I have to do. I can't explain how it relates, scientifically, but, when the weather was warmer, the funerals were less. Since the weather has turned, the funerals have increased and it is really hard to dig a grave in these conditions. It is hard to watch families try to hold services in blowing wind with -10 wind chill temps. I don't like this at all.
I will forever complain about the weather, being a farmer or not, when it comes to watching a family shiver while burying a loved one. I hate this cold and I can't ever condone the belief that global warming is a bad thing.
Take my perspective into account when you discuss global warming. A family does not want to have that last memory be a wind blown chill and frozen ground. I will not go into detail, but, consider what happens to you when you get planted into frozen ground. It is not pretty.

Top that off with an old set of '36 Ford headlight shells bolted to the hood. Pretty unlikely for a car... but for a tractor, this is pretty normal. It seems that more often than not they a
