Yeah, but at least she was smart enough to unhook the handle latch before pulling it out of the tank. That's where most people make a mess into a severe mess.
If she had pulled the door shut behind herself she would have dispersed the static and been fine.
Gas tanks rarely blow because the mix is too rich inside them. If there's enough oxygen in it to keep burning long enough to melt the tank, all bets are off.
