Hi
I was wondering if someone could answer a question for me.
I have a 1968 Case JI 530 Tractor and I had to put another distributor in the tractor and now I have to set the timing because everything is out now.In my manual it said to (INSTALLATION AND
TIMING. To install the distributor,
crank engine until number one piston
is coming up on compression stroke and
continue cranking until the static ignition (IGN) timing mark on flywheel
rim is in register with pointer in
timing port on side of torque tube as
shown in Fig. 102.
With the rotor arm in the number
one firing position, install the distributor. Rotate distributor until breaker
points are just starting to open and
tighten the clamp.
The problem I have is that there is NO IGN mark on the flywheel it just has a DC mark and then timing marks 10' 0' 10'20'30'40 . Do you now where I should set my pointer to on this flywheel.
