I finally changed it,but the one that was on my stock trailer,I had to pour Coke in it before I plugged it in every time. I discovered that one day when I drove all the way to the sale barn with nothing working. I was just too frustrated to mess with it any more before we left. The wife was drinking a Coke,so while we were in line waiting to unload,I pulled the plug,poured a little bit in,plugged it back in and it worked. I kept a partial bottle up in the corner of the truck bed after that. lol
