shep, Just what exactly would you like to know? I am in Greenup County....Lewis is the next county west. Lewis is one of the least populated counties in the state and is pretty rough in a lot of ways. There are some decent farms on what I'd call the south/southwest side. Most of it is straight up and down and covered in timber. Westvaco owned thousands of acres there and sold it off a few years ago...why, I don't know. They had it for the timber rights obviously...but they sold out. The AA Highway went through there about 10-15 years ago and that opened that neck of the woods up for development but it has been slow.....there is no industry or seemingly any interest in any locating there. Most of the population lives along the Ohio River.....Vanceburg, Tollesboro, and a couple other wide spots in the road. I'd say land is fairly cheap...$1,000 to $3,000 acre.
