Funny I should read this. My pest control people were just here about an hour ago to check my bait stations. After the initial cost ( about $1200) I pay them $125 to monitor and maintain the bait stations.
Dont know what they use, but the house is surrounded by the green plastic baits drilled in the ground at about 20' intervals.
The basement of this house had termites so bad we had to gut it and even replace some of the support studs along one wall for the upstairt (split level home)
I do have some Chlordane left over, but i let the professionals handle it.
