Hi You can't replace the rear 15.5x 38 with 16.9 x38 without changing front tires over to bigger. so you might have problems changing the fronts smaller. i do know you might burn the slip clutch out in the middle of the input shafts, and if thats to tight everything else you might wreck in the hubs for gears and shafts is expensive if it's to far out. I think early 500 tractors had 8.2 x 20 and 13.6x38 as the match in the U.k, and in Canada they had 16.9x 30 with them. the newer series had 18.4 34 or 16.938 and 13.6 x20. so that gives an idea of front and back sizes that match There is a place in Winnipeg, Manitoba sells a crane tire to replace the Belarus ones. they seem to work ok, for what they cost.
