Hi guys, I posted this question on the implement alley form, but didn't get any takers. Probably because of my description. I have a 1240 JD plate-less planter. I am replacing the thin metal bands around the seed housing that goes over the finger pick-ups. Has anyone ever replaced these? If so, does there need to be a hump in the band just past the bolt? Or is it supposed to be tight to the housing all the way around? Mine are in tough shape. 2 housings have a hump in the strip and 2 don't. I appreciate any advice.
