As for the listeriosis outbreak, I think Edd's point was that incidents like it are relatively rare in this country, but not in other parts of the world where food safety is not regulated. Still there are those who would eliminate all regulation and turn the US into something between the Russian kleptocracy and the anarchy of Somalia.
