Here in MN, it did not get as bad as other parts of the country.
Now, I think things have improved. For the last 4 or 5 months at least I have seen help wanted signs on doors and the sides of factories. Wages will rise when labor supply decreases, basic economics. Long term, all the government borrowing is not good, and things could turn out bad to REAL bad. But, what do I know.
Stock market: buy good companies and hold. This has worked for me and hopefully it will continue. If you are trying to make a fast buck, that is your problem, and you will probably lose a lot more than a buck.
