Vastly improved may be an exaggeration, at least for my area of NAR. When a certain party took over Congress in January of 2007 things took a bad turn and I lost over half a million in net worth. The poultry company that I was growing for went bankrupt and I just managed to get out by the skin of my teeth. I won't live long enough to recover completely. The cattle prices have been good but have you seen the markets the last 10 days or so? Feeders are down the limit nearly every day. It may just be seasonal but who knows.
A new poultry company is moving in and at least for the time being there are a lot of construction jobs but when that is done the only jobs will be at the plant and most aren't very high paying jobs. At least there are some jobs but not enough to replace the jobs lost in the last 6-7 years.
