But I know exactly how this 52 Merc was damaged. My dad had parked the car outside the local Ford shop. Parallel parking in that part of town. After he was finished in there and came out he found the hood dented and the headlight ring broken. He recalled seeing a truck load of lumber parked nearby and figured the guy backed up pushing a post or 2x6 into the Merc.
Yes, that chrome is pretty decent although the rear bumper is not so bright. I hear it is very expensive to re-chrome. That is pretty far down on the list of priorities right now.
