The gasoline fill was near the top on the rear end of the tank (it was L shaped and went into the back sheet) and the gasoline line came out at the bottom on the back sheet of the tank. The Kerosene filler was in the top center of the tank and the fuel line came out the bottom center. Look at your tank and see if someone has sealed over these openings or possably put a new end in your tank. : : Harold H : I cheaked my tank and it is definatly only a one compartment tank. I don't think they put the two compartment tank in until later on. Correct me if I am wrong, but I think the first ones had two totaly seperate tanks. The gas (starter) tank was lokated towards the front of the tractor, right behind the radiator

All of the F-12 and F-14 tractors that I remember had the two compartment tank that I mentioned. However, on further checking, both the F-12 and F-14 were available two ways. Part number 20732DAX fuel and gas tank complete with caps, has the notation (used on kerosene engines only) is the tank I remember. Part number 23770 DCX fuel tank with cap has the notation (used on gasoline engines only), is the version you have. So you have an original gasoline tractor unless someone changed the tank over the years. Harold H
