Yes quite a few of the IH tractors would warp the bottom plate on the oil pumps. You can take if off and lay a sheet of 200-300 grit wet/dry sand paper. Put a little oil on the sandpaper and rub the plate over the sandpaper until all the marks come out and the plate is making full contact on the sandpaper. This is one way if you don't want to spend the money for the plate or new pump. You will need a gasket too which get one at your IH dealer since they are a certain thickness.
