I just picked up a 02 GMC 2wd 1/2 ton for a parts chaser.It has trans issues as it will shift up thru 1-2 then when it hits 3rd it starts up and down shifting. Fluid doesn't smell burnt but I find friction material on the stick. I'm pretty sure the trans is smoked but want to see if there is anything I should check out . Oh and no check engine light.
