We still have a finger pickup so don't have first hand knowledge. We had a 40 series JD, it had another quick-coupler coming out of the hyd, that was on all the time. The fill had a tee that dumped the return back in the tractor. A neighbor runs his with a 7800 JD. He ruined at least 2 blower motors by centering the valve running planter. They can't take being shut off fast. need to push valve to float fast. He finally gave up and hooked it up like JD wanted. He even has a ball end on the return with a hole drilled in it. In case gets accidently pulled out. I know a magnum will work. Have never seen one ran with anything older except for a JD.
