As I have said on here, I have a hand grinder and grind corn for meal and grits, using different varieties of open pollinated corn. Years ago when I could buy hybrid corn seed by the pound, I tried some and it was not very tasty. Corn meal from the store tastes much better and I'm sure some growers specialize in growing corn for the corn meal market. Probably for the corn flakes market also, but that's another question. My question is, do they have specific varieties for corn meal corn, probably hybrids, if so what variety? Is there a source of those varieties in small amounts for a garden?
