I to am 72 Wife drives Ford escapes and I still do hers but the last two F 150s I have had have a cover over the lower part of the engine and the filter is a hard reach. I go to local quick change shop they charge me 15 bucks with me furnishing the oil and filter. And like you I won,t crawl around under the thing for that. I use synthetic oil and go 5000 miles so not too bad.
