I'm part of a snowmobile club and I can tell you with out it we might as well shut our doors. We still have folks that take some coaxing because of liability but Inland Fisheries and Wildlife produces a great flier that explains it all. It's a lot better then Bubba saying "Don't worry about it, your protected". :-)
From what I understand it's been tested twice since the law has been on the books. Both time the cases failed with the state doing all the legal heavy lifting.
