We had one back in the day, late 50s early 60s. Seems like we fought with it the whole time we had it. I don't think we could ever get through a 100 bale load without a sheared pin, missed bale, and worst case a broken needle. In all fairness though, my Dad wasn't the greatest on knowing how to fix things properly. He traded it in on a 520 Oliver which worked great and caused very few problems. I was glad when they hauled the Ferguson away. Sounds like you've made up your mind. I wish you luck.
