Have owned them both and my first thoughts are no. I know the torque tube is different , the piece right off the back of the motor but thinking about it the transmission MIGHT be the same but I am thinking not. I think the 180 shared the 190 transmission while the 170 was the old d17 transmission. What ever they all jumped out of one gear, think it was road gear or 4th, been a long time.
