When I installed solar electric grid-tie and applied for New York State incentive money to pay for much of it - they insisted I had to use batteries in the bank with a least a 5 year warranty. I found out fast that companies like Trojan and Deka will not give a 5 year warranty to any battery used in a solar bank. So I had to buy Canadian batteries from Rolls. At that time - 5 years ago - they were the only battery maker willing to give such a 5 year warranty in north America. That is unless I spent a fortune on 2 volt batteries from Exide that cost a small fortune.
