I had a damaged left knee joint and a MF 35D I really liked had a stiff clutch spring. Finally had to get rid of it for that reason.
If your knee or hip joint gets to hurting also they make fluid injections for the joint that helps to rebuild the cartilage and requires nothing more than several office visits if severe. I got mine fixed with one. Hobbled into the doc's office on crutches and walked out about 15 minutes later waving them. Folks in the lobby thought I was nuts.....I was.....with glee. Been over 12 years and no problems.
