Gotta have a little fun here. I visit a boating forum besides this and others. When I first saw the picture with the prop I thought it was the funniest looking boat I ever saw. They make a little thing called a Mud Bug which is basically a "John" boat, light alum 14ft blunt nose skiff and put a little V twin air cooled engine on it. The prop extends out the rear on a framework such as yours, but only driven by up to 35 hp so the frame and prop are obviously not as sturdy/large as yours. It runs in about 5" of water and are used down here for hunting alligators and duck hunting in the marshes.
