I have a whole slew of them. If the engine is going to be parked all winter it gets a maintained. I am short a couple of them so I run the maintainer on something for a week and then swap to something else for a week. Then I go back to the original item. It seems to make the batteries around here last well.
I have a diesel generator that has a four cylinder diesel engine on it. It had a 1000 CCA commercial battery on it that had a two year warranty. It finally got weak at about seven years. I was pleased. It was replaced with an Interstate. I have been made a convert over the past few years. The only time it isn't on a maintainer is when it is running.
