Well if you don't badger the heck out of the public to get some money coming in, you don't have your 33% (not knowing your source of info.) or whatever the programs get. At least the adm. fees are low and I doubt that you can say that about a lot of charities; but I don't know.
I'll give you this on them. They DO badger the heck out of you but do it gracefully, and "thank yous" are comprehensive and complete. But, like any advertising, if you don't get your product out in front of the consumer how will he know you are offering it. No doubt in my mind that a lot is spent in advertising.
A spin off of that is that you usually get something in return, mostly useful paper products that I'm sure the vets are hired to produce since disabled vet's unemployment, per their statistics, is running at 85%. I've been a contributor since 1995 and proud of it.
