Made correctly and cooked right it has a golden tint and is very good on hot buttered biscuits sweet taste like honey but thicker and has more body.That said if its cooked and skimmed wrong with a green tint its some of the nastiest stuff you ever tasted.Taste also varies from variety to variety and the ground its grown on influences taste.Grown and made mostly in Southern VA,Eastern Tenn,NC and SC.Mennoites around Dayton VA in the Shenandoah Valley make some of the best I've tasted usually the 'Fall Festival' stuff in some areas is barely edible.
