We had a 65 ford F600 grain truck. That thing would really fly when it was empty. That was my favorite grain truck of all time.
I gave me fits one trip to town. I went slower and slower until I crawled into the elevator. It was the fuel pump that time, too. The only time my old 58 GMC has given me trouble it was the fuel pump. Of course it was on the ramp into the pit at the elevator.
Don't get smart and think you will put an electric on it and upgrade. They don't make them like they used to and one of mine on my train truck (one of five I tried one summer) lasted literally four days. Go to NAPA and and get the original style. It will last you a good 20 years.
