Quote from RustyFarmall-- The state of Iowa owns ALL the deer within its borders. If you shoot a deer out of season, or without a permit, the state will fine you $2,500. But, if one of those state owned deer runs into the road, and you hit it with your car, the state of Iowa will assume NO responsibility. OH, and the incident will also go on your driving record.
