Olivers always whined. This one is on the quiet side. My dad's Oliver 77 is about 3 times as loud. He bought it new in 51 but used to plant, disc, combine, cultivate, pick corn until 1993. Lots of hours.
The later 880's had special cut gears that eliminated the whine of the spur gears.
Thanks for doing the video. I laid up in the recliner with a repaired hammer toe and I've been watching Youtube videos for the past 3 weeks.
