I bought a 51 to 30 that had been sitting for a few years that did not run. I got it running and it has been changed to 12 volt and it is not charging. The alternator has one wire going to the amp meter and it clean the connections on both ends is there any way to check the alternator to make sure it is bad or could it be anything else. Thanks for any help
