Actually, we had a Candidate's Night at our local Civic Center last Thursday so the public could meet the various candidates.
We had candidates all the way from local City Council and County offices to candidates for state and federal office. Each candidate had two minutes to introduce himself or herself. And each was timed and the timing was enforced. It had to be.
Some candidates, particularly those for federal office, are so full of themselves and so full of BS that they actually start to believe it themselves. They take themselves too seriously.
I was the only one who got a laugh out of the audience. I said, "Whenever someone asks me if I've lived her all my life, I tell them, 'Not yet'".
