I posted it on this site because it is not a problem for just a Ford tractor. The pistons can be moved in the sleeves, so I do not think the rings are stuck. I did not notice any difference in how high the pistons traveled. The P.O. stated that the tractor was getting difficult to start and that it sounds like it has a loose piston. I was hoping that the carbon issue is what he was hearing. I want to get it running before I try to overhaul it. I believe I will need to rework the valves and put a sleeve kit in it.
