I thought Nebr. City was one of the most moving, emotional cities I have ever been to. Go all the way down to the end of main street, whatever the name is. There's where a wharf used to be, where Missouri River steamers unloaded the wagons and teams of the settlers heading for Oregon. Look up the street, up that hill, up the street. THAT is the view that our forefathers, wives and children had, on first entering a new country, walking up that hill, getting the team going.... very moving, at least to me.
