Got started on silo filling yesterday. Finally dried enough to start. As you can see in the video we still have some mud. This is that Peas and barley forage mix we planted on the fourth of July. It was lookin pretty good til the deer, bear, and geese harvested about half the Peas over a weeks time. Going to be cutting the corn we planted the same day today. We are mixing the peas/barley with corn in the silo at about 1/3 peas barley/ 2/3 corn. I did get a chance to use my dad's DC tho, so that makes for a good day no matter what. Lol. We put it on the blower just because I wanted to run it and blow the junk out that always accumulates when a tractor is not used hard. This one hasn't been worked much on 15 years. It had no problem getting the silage up a 60' silo, but was slow for a couple loads til it got cleaned out.
