Many years ago when I was a small kid, we had an 80-acre alfalfa field about 7 miles from where we lived. It was always my job to drive the Allis-Chalmers C to this field because we needed this tractor hooked up to the PTO shaft on the bale elevator to get all the small bales from the trailers into the shed. Then it was my job to drive the tractor home after all the alfalfa was put up. That tractor didn't have much of a road gear.
