In raising 4 kids I repaired several. Usually the water pump went out or the timer. However, it was obvious that the rest of the machine had taken a beating also so it was just a wait and see what will fail next.
Well they are grown and I am older and we have the big box stores around now that have great prices and competent service/installation contractors.
