Makes a difference what you intend to use tractor for. Years back Pa had a 700 Case that we pulled 4-14 plow. It had 15-5s and we pulled plow in 3rd. gear. There was such a wide spread between 3rd. and 4th. that there was no way we could ever pull that plow in 4th. so when he bought new tires he went to 16-9s and we got a lot more done with that plow. So if you are doing tillage and can't get up to next gear then get the 16-9s but if you are doing loader work or mowing then you might stay with the 15-5s. If doing a lot of road travel then go with the bigger for more speed.
